The US Department of Defense (DoD), through the offices of the Aviation and Missile Technology Consortium (AMTC) Consortium Administrative Organization (CAO), has issued a Request for Enhanced White Paper (RWP) solicitation for a range of technology-innovation requirements specific to the US Army’s Long-Range Precision Fires (LRPF) development programme.
The AMTC, comprising the National Armaments Consortium (NAC) and the Vertical Lift Consortium (VLC), is partnered with the US Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Aviation & Missile Center, and the Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA) to develop innovative aviation and missile technologies, which enable enhanced lethality, survivability, and combat effectiveness.
The AMTC has established an ’Other Transaction Agreement’ (OTA) to engage industry and academia to develop and mature guided missile technologies to develop and transition US Army aviation and missile manufacturing technologies, and integrate advanced technologies, techniques, and processes into future-effective weapon systems, including LRPF, in support of US Army and DoD weapon systems. An OTA is a streamlined vehicle that brings innovative research findings and state-of-the-art prototypes from industry to the US government.
