“The transition out of sales and into the Product team has been a fantastic opportunity to facilitate a new growth and development path.”

Paul Petit-How, Product Manager (National Security)
Paul is one of our product managers who’s been with us since March 2020, and this is his story.

Paul was first hired for a Sales and Business Development (BD) role for Scandinavia where some of his most significant achievements include “[…] working with the Product team to lead to the first Janes Intara subscription sale in EMEA” and the “launch of the MOU with Systematic at DSEI as a strategic partnership for entry into a new use case and end-user community.” Since he joined the Product team he’s achieved “[…] significant milestones adding value to existing products and solutions” working with many different teams and functions internally and externally. Some of these product releases include “Stability Indicators for Country Intelligence and significant enhancements to Janes Intara.”

In his role, Paul is a great example of Janes values. While “communicating customer requirements to drive product development, my inputs are listened to, drive development, and make sure we deliver the best OSINT products to meet our customers’ needs. The core values of Janes are empowering in terms of allowing an employee at Janes to individually make an impact and drive value for the individual’s and the company's growth. The values […] emphasise the need to collectively work towards an outcome but with personal responsibility and accountability both in your individual role and as a team in Janes.”

Since he’s been with us, Paul has also taken our value ‘Be Your Own CEO’ to a whole other level and has been following his own unique career path. “My previous role in Sales and BD contributed to my development of better sales methodology and consultative sales techniques to improve my professional development. […] Being able to transition out of Sales and into the Product team has been a fantastic opportunity to facilitate a new growth and development path for me at Janes as well as my professional career, learning new techniques, developing new skills, and challenging myself. […] As part of the Product team, there are plenty of opportunities to learn and develop. Other than learning on the job, being given a day a month to focus on learning and development, engaging in online and collaborative courses that led to accreditation in product development has been of particular use to employ better knowledge and skills to my work.”

“The ambition of being the best OSINT provider that is trusted and used by customers with assurance is reflected in the passion of people at Janes. The excellence and strive to provide the best OSINT content and capabilities are demonstrated in the passion of people at Janes working together to overcome challenges and put customers first to better support their work. This passion is inspiring and fosters great teamwork and collaboration, making Janes a fantastic place to work.”

We love working here.
We think you will too.
